On March 9, 2007, at the DC Scottish Rite Center, Mayor Adrian Fenty swore in young leaders participating in the 2007 YMCA D.C. Youth and Government Legislative Weekend. The weekend was the culmination of a year-long simulation of city government, where teenagers elected their own government officials including a Youth Mayor.
