DC Scottish Rite Events Registration

As a member of the Valley of Washington, you are cordially invited to attend and participate in the periodic special events on the Valley’s calendar for which advance reservations are required. Please review the list of events below and complete a reservation for each one you wish to attend. Keep in mind that at any one time there may be several or perhaps only one event available for registration. While attendance at most events is restricted to members only, you will see that some events are open to attendance by family and friends. Each member must make his own reservation. No member may make a reservation for another member or members. When making a reservation for your non-member family and friends, please enter the full name of everyone for whom you are making a reservation. Some events will necessarily have a cap on attendance so availability cannot be guaranteed.

The long and rich history of the DC Scottish Rite is present everywhere – it’s in our temple with her many artifacts, it’s in our ceremonies and numerous programs, and even more importantly it’s in each of our members, young and old, near and far, current, and deceased. DC Scottish Rite history is present all around us, not only as an homage to the past, but as a celebration of its continuum into the future – a reminder of its origins, its cardinal principles, and its distinction.

We look forward to your participation in the special events of the DC Scottish Rite.

Feast of Tishri

The Feast of Tishri is the title that the Scottish Rite adopted as one of the recognized formal affairs in Scottish Rite Masonry. When King Solomon dedicated the first Temple, he was not dedicating a mere structure, he was praying for all mankind. It is the Brotherhood of Man that is the very cornerstone of our Masonic Brotherhood and philosophy. We, therefore, can give thanks to the Great Architect of the Universe and celebrate this Feast Day as a Feast of Scottish Rite Masonic Thanksgiving. We can thank Our Creator for our many blessings: home, family, friends and for a Country where we enjoy religious and political freedoms even greater than our Forefathers ever dreamed. It is no accident we call ourselves “FREE” MASONS, for we believe in the freedoms our Founding Fathers established for our Country. We must, therefore, rededicate ourselves to maintaining those freedoms by putting into practice the virtues we have learned.
Attendance: Attendance at the Feast of Tishri is for Scottish Rite Masons only who are members in good standing
